THE GRIM REALITY is my bog name for a reason.

I used to joke with friends that I'd write a book some day about my life. It would be called The Grim Reality and if I had become famous for anything I'd put my name in front of the title. If I was still an unknown (which I am) I would just have my name on the "by" line. To me it is a sarcastic dry humor type title. My life generally is good, I'm generally positive, and generally pretty happy. So... it is kind of the opposite of who I am, thus making me smile when I think of it as the title of my book.

I chose it as my blog name for this reason. But recently I noticed that it might scare people away so I put the short thing under settings welcoming reader comments. I like the black background because I can change font colors as often as I want and not clash. Is the black background too much? Does it make this blog appear Goth? It was in wondering about all of this that I added the silly looking happy face to the top -- you know, trying to be a little more welcoming.

Can you tell I tend to over analyze?
