The last tulip.
Last night my son was hilarious. He had to play the song flute during the music program and he forgot 2 of the songs. He stood there smiling with the flute by his side -- while the rest of the class played or faked it. (Song flute = recorder, same damn thing just different names by different schools). I asked him later why he didn't fake it and he said it was because he didn't want to mess anyone up. 9 year olds! I love watching that boy sing. He is a character. Following the program he discovered that he could play the song flute (recorder is what they call it) with his NOSE. I admit it, it was hilarious.

I broke down and smoked yesterday and I wish I had not. I hate when I'm weak. Work was stressing me but that is no excuse, people are stressed every day. I also failed to work out. My neck and shoulder were killing me and I used that cheap excuse. Ugh. Where is my backbone?


The coffee may not be enough for me today... I'm still so flipping tired! I need to focus on the food. My nutrition sucks. Carbs are killing me. I need to focus and lose this weight because I don't want to spend money on clothing -- I want to fit back into the stuff I own!! Dammit.


Work is sucking. It would be nice to win a small lottery. I'm still playing!

Goal for today: Salad for lunch and excercise!

salad? you need a big healthy serving of fat! like 4% cottage cheese. no way can I make it betwn meals without fat. the trouble is. when you concentrate on eating fat. it has to be healthy fat (no fried food) and do NOT mix it with starch, because that's a recipe for gaining weight, a lot of it.
eat FAT! and veggies. like a big salad with lots of high fat salad dressing and a big serving of cheese and meat. but NO croutons, no bread, coffee or SMOKES! those all raise your insulin level which is the culprit when trying to loose weight.

oh there I go again. preaching the "Dr Schwarzbein Rule" to anyone who will listen and even those who won't. but seriously. I always gained weight in the 80's when I dieted. because I ate a lot of salads and huge bowls of rice, no fat, just a splash of vinegar or soy sauce. I'd never been so hungry in my life. so ate too much and gained weight. some diet.! now I've realized that eating fat can really quell my hunger and I have control to lose weight. it's the coffee and smokes that I'm still having trouble with.
