Father's Day. A friend asked for 3 things my Dad has taught me. Here is my list:

1. Common sense is something many people don't have, I must be grateful I got this gift and must USE IT!

2. If you simply TRY hard you will achieve more than most people out there – you are smarter than you think you are! Don't give up.

3. Call a professional to handle the job if you are out of your league. (Example: call the plumber or electrician – the damage you do will be worse than the bill you get and it will cost you more to fix your mistakes.) Pick your battles falls under this one too.

My Dad is still trying to teach me to dance. I am terrible and try to lead so this requires patience on both of our parts. We need more weddings to attend as this is when we get practice. My poor hubby is not a good dancer and has no desire to learn. I think my leading came
from hubby's lack of leading. Too many years of leading makes a terrible follower.
