Modern English Grammar as a Linguistics class is absolutely grueling. I've always understood grammar but have never been one to remember the rules. I just follow them (at least in my formal writing, blogging is a guilty pleasure so I don't bind myself with all the conventions).
I'm staying Up North. Each morning I'm on the road at 6:30am in order to get to class on time with a coffee. I'm back to the house at 4 pm with a mind swimming in auxiliary verbs and modals and such. I'm studying until midnight and am grateful the hubby is handling the home front this week. I can't imagine putting on my Mom hat while I'm this tired.
On a much nicer note I went to my Mom's favorite spot for the sunset Saturday night. Oh my goodness! I will be posting pictures -- I just can't find my silly cord to download pictures at the present. Hopefully I'll find it soon or I will have to take fewer pictures than I'd like due to limited disk space. I want to get some pictures of the buffalo on this farm up here. It is fun to drive by a heard of buffalo on the way to class! Who would have thought???

I used to drive by a buffalo farm when I'd go visit people in Pennsylvania. I always thought that was pretty cool! Hang in there with the class!
sounds like a real enhancement for the mind and soul. Enjoy.
