I will need to post another photo of this construction barrel tomorrow. This one was taken at 8am today as I drove to work. I thought it was funny -- that the person who drove over it MUST have been making a statement. Like "Finish your damn construction, I want my street back!"

Tonight we went out to dinner. Upon our return I noticed that the above barrel was now crushed like a tin can. There is no way that it wasn't intentional. This barrel was placed so that you don't drive over a manhole that is sticking way above the current street level.

Some vandal neighbor of mine is venting their frustration on a construction barrel.
Part of me says "Hats off to you buddy!" Maybe our construction season has lasted too long, I'm now cheering for vandals.

reminds me of some years back when the girls were still at home.
After work one evening the hubby found a huge construction cone in our back yard (from down the street)

He immediately rounded up the girls and discussed "stealing" blah blah blah.

They were all in a state of bewilderment.

Thats when we discovered our HUGE rottweiler had somehow gotten out of our sturdy fenced yard... and carried it home in his jaw.

Toys... wow... toys!!!!

Why does road/street construction last so long? Some roads seem to be under perpetual construction.
