It rained today...

This is my favorite kind of fall color.
I love trees that glow -- lighter color on the inside with
the bright red on the outside.

Twilight painted the sky as we enjoyed the leaves that nature had painted...
These pictures were from a school night drive the kids and I took.
It is important to enjoy the fall colors while you can. Many of these leaves are gone now...

The glow of a sunset through the trees was a comfort when we went to visit my Mom's final resting place. What a comfort to look at two of the things she loved at the same time!
Mom LOVED fall colors and sunsets -- I'm my mother's daughter on this!

I love this picture and I think it might be clearer than my other one posted the other day.
There is something wonderful about fall colors which brighten a dreary day. Today we had rain and I missed the colors that were so plentiful a few weeks ago... Part of the magic of fall is knowing that the color is gone so soon -- you are forced to appreciate and enjoy it quickly no matter how crunched you are for time. I'm glad we took the time!

Thanks! I'm glad I got to take the pictures before these leaves were gone...
