We are going on a DATE!

Today I traveled for work into an area with some amazing old buildings. I marveled at the detail of the brick and mortar beauty. The scrolls, and ledges, the leaded glass windows, the tiles inlays, the absolute beauty and workmanship amazed me. It isn't often that you get the time to appreciate older architecture. I look at the modern glass boxes around towns today and I miss the beauty of yesteryear.

I think back to visiting my grandparents in another city and how we would run between the buildings in the "gangways." The buildings were so close together that you had little room to run between them. One person at a time could fit -- if someone was coming the opposite way, one of you would have to back up and let the other pass. Has anyone else used the term gangway in this manner? I'm wondering if it is city specific since I could not find an article on Wikipedia....

Anyway, I had the rare treat of enjoying architecture and I loved it. (Sorry no pictures.... I was working so could not play photographer today).

Also on a lighter note -- Hubby is doing fine. I didn't beat him or anything mean after my ugly rant in the "Ugh" post. He pointed out that support also means handling the nighttime routine on his own two days a week while I'm at class. Good point. We are happy because next semester we will not be separated three nights in a row like this semester (my classes are now Monday and Tuesday, he has class Wednesday). Next semester is my last semester with 2 night classes on top of one online class. I'll be at class two nights in a row, but we will have one night together between classes. YAY!

It is easy for me to be selfish and mad at hubby when my work and class load are too heavy. I love and adore him. I would not survive without him. I am grateful for our marriage and look forward to getting through next semester -- I miss having more time together. We have a sitter this weekend. I can't wait to have a date with my husband! I miss having relaxed time with him.

We will have to make more time like this a priority on the calendar. We will have to make room in the budget for a sitter. I love and miss my husband -- I look forward to having a face to face conversation with him. Most of our talking is on the cell phone these days while we are driving to and from work and class (he is taking a class too -- construction has no future so a career change is in order for him as well). Thank goodness for cell phones, they keep this couple connected.

One last thing -- say a prayer for my brother if you can... He is wonderful, special, loving, caring, good, kind, giving, and is a great dad. He's going through a hard time -- the more random prayers for him the better. I adore him and hate to see him hurting.

Wishing you blessings!

I had to come back to see what was said about your brother... and you left it quite generic. So it's open to pray whatever the spirit moves us to do so.

So, right now I'm asking that the Lord would give him strength to forgive, to make decisions based on truth and not on feelings or circumstances.
