Waiting for summer....

Doesn't that photo just make you long for summer? I does me! Apparently few people takes these stairs to the beach in the winter time. Come on people! It is still worth appreciating in the cold!

I am back to work and wishing for summer warmth and freedom. There is nothing like running away for the weekend to see the lake shore with the kids. My goal for this summer is to tromp beaches that we have never discovered previously.

Today was a blessing -- I forgot my dermatologist appointment but saw it on my calendar just in time to scramble and make the appointment. I was given the all clear on a thing we worried was pre cancerous (arm now healed). I am to go back in 2 months to have a bunch more spots rechecked. I am pale with freckles. I burn like a lobster no matter the precautions I take. Skin checks are my way of ensuring I do not follow a classmates path of early demise due to melanoma. It is well worth it to me to have the Dr. put on his funky head lamp thing and stare knowingly at my flesh. I would rather be safe than sorry. Add rosacea and eczema to the pale skin and you need to get checked -- to much weirdness to self monitor.

Today I will enjoy knowing that so far so good on doctor results. I still need to make the appointment for my overdue yearly. Maybe I can work up that courage today. A girl can only face so much at once! My sleep study is tomorrow night. Even my Dad and brothers finally noticed that I'm dragging. My Dad says "What's wrong with you? You look tired." Um, duh? My response, "I thought I looked cute today." I then explained that lack of sleep can make you look tired. Their response? "Oh......" You gotta love them!

Interesting places that I got to see....

yes. I long for summer. but I'd enjoy a stay at your winter pictures.

When I had my last little episode with the skin monster, instead of freezing off the pre-cancerous sites I got a chemical to put on it for 3 weeks. The pharmacist said I would get black spots, but they never turned black. Just crusted up and fell off and nice skin underneath.

I have freckles in my eyes, so my eye doctor always wants me to wear sunglasses,.... and I have tinted glasses that go very dark when I walk outside.

I look so cool (not)
