Ultrasound Day!

Can I just say that ULTRASOUND DAY is so much more exciting when you are pregnant? The doctor appointment yesterday resulted in an exam that made me really sore. Ugh. I was glad I was able to make the ultrasound appointment for today and the mammogram for tomorrow. When I went for the ultrasound the technician decided to see if they could fit in my mammogram / smashogram as well. They kept me there and then fit me in to the schedule.

Honestly, I could not tell if this was due to what she saw on the ultrasound or if it was because she felt sorry for me having to come back. During the ultrasound I came to realize there is a heck of a lot more tenderness going on than I thought. I am quite sore from all of the compression on tender tissue. The bottom line is that I'd rather be uncomfortable and have an accurate test though.... and that is what I told the technicians. Do whatever you have to do to get the best possible pictures. Funny how they can't tell you anything at the time. I hope someday medicine advances to the point where we can get these answers a lot quicker. The torture on testing is waiting for the results.

Cutting back on caffeine is a suggestion that was given to help with the tenderness. I already implemented this change. I have not eliminated caffeine, but I've reduced it. Okay. Um.... my boob still hurts. Almost all the way to the armpit. Oh well. What can you do?

Wish me luck. I wonder how long before I get results on the mammogram and ultrasound....
