God must want me to be a teacher!

I believe that God wants me to be a teacher. There is no other way to explain it.

I took on way too much this semester. Every time I'm about to miss a deadline or fall on my face something has happened to save me by the skin of my teeth. In some cases it was class being canceled due to snow. In another case a professor randomly moved a deadline. In another case, class was canceled for 2 weeks because my teacher's house burned down. No lie, her house burned down. Poor woman.

Today -- I got an email from a professor moving tomorrow's impossible deadline to next week on this huge project that I'm struggling to complete. I was up half the night last night and would have been again tonight... but my wonderful teacher emailed to say we need to discuss some more points in class and that it can be handed in next week.

Thank you God. I was going to try to do the all nighter tonight. I appreciate you letting me off the hook! I will hand in a better product as a result. I am learning a ton right now that will come in handy for me as a teacher. I am grateful beyond words that God wants me to be a teacher. How else can I explain being saved from a deadline again? Thank you God! I will be at church -- I'm sorry I missed the last few weeks. I am so grateful.

I may sound crazy, but if you knew how little sleep I have gotten in the past three weeks you would understand. I'm so grateful to be able to relax for just tonight! YAY!

Keep at it! Teaching is a life-long journey, just as education is! There's always something new to learn being a teacher, some new way or angle to approach something, and always something new and refreshing to learn about yourself... ya, it's a challenge sometimes! heh heh

Sleep. Relax. Recreate. make some "you" time - that's vital too! Don't burn yourself out either. And remember to enjoy yourself along the way :)
