Sleep - yum!

I have to say that my thoughts have been provoked by Carrie at Third Times a Charm. I’m thinking about bedrooms. Mine is a hell hole. We live in an older home and the room is too small for the furniture we purchased when we first married. Hubby and I bought beautiful furniture that fit our apartment. The bedroom there was huge. Our bedroom in our home is small. Carrie describes her grandparents separate bedrooms here.

Carrie is a night owl (and comes by it honestly, there seems to be a genetic link….). What is interesting to me as a fellow night owl, is that she married a morning person. Her family night owls (father and grandmother) did the same. I married a morning person too! Is it that we are taking separate watches? Does God line us up in his infinite wisdom so that there is always a partner in the couple who has their wits about them?

I do not desire a separate bedroom due to our different schedules (we could never afford to remodel the house that way anyway!). Both of us snore. I love sleeping with him. I love having him there when I wake. I love his arm thrown over me in the night. I hate when he falls asleep first and I have to try to sleep through his snore. I would never want separate rooms though – not for night time. Now, if you gave me a dressing room with a napping bed, this would make me happy. I’d love to have a room to dress in. I could lay out my clothes and shoes for the day… what luxury! But sleeping alone? Nope. I’m not signing up.

There is nothing better than snuggling with my husband. Just please…. Let me fall asleep first.

Sleep study update: Only 1 more week until I have the sleep study that I need to get my sleep machine. I can’t imagine what you people feel like that get an actual good night’s sleep! I wake twenty some times an hour. No wonder I’m nuts….. Who would have thought I’d be looking forward to another sleep study to get a CPAP machine? YAY sleep!

Now if I could just get motivated to work on my homework, the shower stuff for next weekend, and cleaning my house.... No pictures as of late because winter came back and killed my daffodils. I am sad about that... maybe next year?

I agree with your view on this... sleeping with and cuddling with the husband is too important to me to indulge in separate beds. As long as I can get to sleep before him, I mean. :)

I did well with the snoring for many years... AND THEN, he developed restless leg syndrome, and it's not under control.
I had to sleep in a different bed in order to get some sleep.

Getting old is the pits, but the alternative isn't better.

Thank you for the nod!!!

I am certainly not going to have seperate bedrooms either, but isn't it weird about all the am/pm couples? You may be onto something . . .

Sweet dreams!!
