Happy Day!

Last week I had a great day with my family. We were still Up North, and we went for a great big bike ride. I saw lots of wild flowers that took my breath away, but took few photos as my camera battery was nearly dead (forgot to transfer the spare to the camera bag before the trip! Hated myself!).

Anyway, we biked nearly 14 miles that day! I could not believe it! I'm out of shape but loved it. My keister was sore, but I survived! I was so proud. Wonder Boy had bike and attitude problems so Super Girl and I trekked ahead while Hubby and he waited. They rock.

We wonder about these flowers.... lots of them on the trail. I think they are not natural to this state and are invading, but they are SO pretty. Hopefully better pictures on the next trip:There are enough trees on this bike trail to make wonderful shade on a hot day.
And then you get a view like this:
How about these cranes? The landing gear is coming down!

This very night was my sunset night.... I forgot to post my fisherman. He knows how to end the day:-)I'm counting my blessings today too! I passed my CLEP tests!!!!! CLEP is College Level Examination Program. I killed off two classes (History and American Government!). I no longer have to take a summer class!!!!! YEE HA! I didn't have time to study spring semester so I crammed the past two weeks. I passed by the skin of my teeth, but I PASSED! No classes for me for the rest of the summer!!!!

Can you tell I'm a little excited? Tonight the kids and I danced. First with Wonder Boy, later with Super Girl. We then sat on the glider and played music in the back yard. YAY SUMMER! What a wonder not to have to go to a class two nights (or more!) a week! I'm so happy. I'm so grateful!

My niece had a health scare this week. It appears to be bad acid reflux, but it was thought to be pyloric stenosis. My poor SIL thought her 6 week old was going under the knife. Ugh. All is currently well -- watchful waiting is in place and medication is controlling vomiting by relaxing acid production. I went through this with both of my colicky babies. It is good to be past that stage! Anyway -- two surgeons were consulted and they both thought she was in the clear. What a relief! We celebrate that, as for today, surgery is off the agenda!

I'm also celebrating there is only one day left in the work week! I'm ready for a weekend!

congrats on the CLEP test!
enjoy the summer!!

I love your pictures and how you talk about your family. Life seams very straight forward for you. Right?

I'm going to see about getting things that way in my life.

I tried to get a look at the flowers - but I think my eyes are too tired.

beautiful pictures.

So happy that the baby won't have to go through surgery.

So many wee ones have acid reflux. Having it - I know what a painful ordeal that can be. Poor little girl.
