You will be grounded from TV for 6 months if.....

At what point do these words start to sound insane?

"You will be grounded from TV for the rest of the day."

"You will be grounded from TV for the rest of the week."

"You will be grounded from TV for the rest of the month."

"You will be grounded from TV for the next 6 months."

I am not proud.... but it is effective in getting Wonder Boy and Super Girl off their butts....

On another note....
Above is the Rose of Sharon in my yard -- LOVE it. Hubby saved this one from a construction site a few years ago. He brought the shrub home and planted it against our fence. I love it when it blooms.
My Black Eyed Susan blooms have suffered since a neighbor planted a weed like tree which now blocks the sun. The tree also sheds a nasty black mold on my plants. Ick.

The best perennials are those I gain from others. This came from Hubby's aunt (who I LOVE! I can not believe she is Satan's sister -- she is NOTHING like my mother inlaw).

The Rose of Sharon looks so beautiful! Actually, all of the flowers do.

The issue of grounding, is an ongoing parenting issue for sure. I remember my mother grounding me for life! Wish I knew what to say to motivate my girls, no tv, phone or computer sometimes works.

It's okay. I keep saying "I'm not going to take you to the waterpark tomorrow if you don't knock that off!"

Empty threats. Yeah, I know.

our neighbors planted two trees right against the fence -- they are now starting to reach over it
and they block my roses and some other sun lovers. So, I guess we'll have to redesign our yard.

pretty rose of sharon. I see them blooming all around town.

As crazy as it sounds, my threats are not empty. Super Girl did experience 9 weeks without TV... simply for not listening with I told her to stop. Funny thing about the last word.... not always worth it to get it.

Nothing sounds crazy if it works! There is little that strikes fear into the hearts of the children on Mayhem like the threat of losing TV privileges!

The flowers are beautiful!

Those are gorgeous flowers! Looking far better than the poor roses that somehow keep surviving year after year here for me! mind you... I usually kill indoor plastic plants, so they're pretty hardy... probably because I don't usually touch them, except for a yearly severe prune. Whew.

Perhaps it's time to hide the remotes! That'll make 'em jump up and start taking notice, perhaps! lol.
