I got a kick out of Wonder Boy's teacher -- there are consequences if you fail to bring your progress report back!!!Other news: Super Girl tells me at 7pm last night that her science project was due today. This after I caught her in a lie the other night about having completed math homework (she had watched TV instead). Poor child... so man consequences to enforce, so little time.
The back to school honeymoon is over....
We are in the trenches.....
The flu struck 3 out of 4 of us this week....
I'm ready for FRIDAY!
/Yes, that really is Wonder Boy's printing... I love his writing :-)

If Super Girl keeps being difficult with her school work just tell her: "Well honey, you know the 6th grade (or whatever grade) is always easier the second time you have to go through it. Only thing is you will have to make all new friends next year... and your new friends will think you aren't very smart." ;)
LOL Kids always try to squirm their way out of homework, and then spring unexpected due-tomorrow projects on you in the 11th hour.
Yeh, I know. We have had a child in school since 1985.
I am soooo over those PTA meetings.
I don't know if you've read any of my blog but...
Two years ago when our youngest of three biological daughters graduated high school we accepted "temporary" custody of a (then) two and four year old brother and sister.
The Readers Digest version of the rest of that story is that we should have them adopted by Thanksgiving and I will be 72 years old when our boy graduated high school!
Once again, I am soooo over those PTA meetings. lol
However, I do still enjoy the field trips! :)
mssc54 -- I am a firm believer in the Love and Logic approach! I had mentioned summer school as an option. Super Girl was not enthused :-)
PTA meetings... it has been a while... I too love field trips!!
Kwoneshe -- I admit, it is the 11th hour stuff that kills me!
That last minute project/homework sounds like my house. Drives me crazy, no matter how hard I try to stay on top of it. I feel like I'm back in school sometimes. Do you rescue or let them fall on their face. Sadly, I rescue, which is probably why it never changes.
I hate when teachers make kids write the same line over and over. Seems so meaningless to me. So old school.
Hope your weekend is GREAT!!
[[[hugs]]] yet more great blogging - thank you!
