I am thankful for my online friends. I'm part of a group who has given me prayer and kind words that sent me off to the difficult family vacation. We made it through. It was very difficult but everyone tried to be good to one another and that helped. My Dad is normally a tense person (my Mom always calmed him) so there was an air of tension and panic throughout the weekend (Example: Oh my God! How do I wash this???? Where do we keep the bottle opener????) For me it got to the point where I've decided that Dad is cute that way. My sister is not there yet so she freaked out and got on my nerves. Both brothers are laid back so they were easy to be with.

I ended up catching a cold which morphed into a sinus infection, ear infection, bronchitis. I went to the doctor today because I simply couldn't move any more..... Toughing it out was no longer an option as it had been 4 days ago. Now I'm on meds and hoping to recover by tomorrow so I can organize and get ready for the pre-wedding mixer I'm having for my sister at my house this weekend.

The patio and porch are done! The entry and stairway need to be painted (DH to prime tonight), outdoor music speakers need to be installed and wired to stereo, empty photo collage needs to be filled (looks cute will be great with pics). My co-host and I meet tonight to hash out details. I'll be happy when 7pm hits on Saturday and the party starts whether I'm ready or not -- house is pretty clean (CAN YOU BELIEVE IT???) so I'll be able to focus on the party when I feel better tomorrow (God willing, please!!).
