I don't usually gab about sports, but I have to say I'm sorry to see Darren McCarty leave the Detroit Redwings. I am also impressed with the farewell letter he wrote to Detroit ... Here is how he ended it. What a class act he is -- good for him!!

Thank you to all of you. But please don't shed a tear 'cause it's over -- crack a smile 'cause it happened, and no one can ever take that away. I'll always be a Red Wing at heart, and Detroit will always be my home.
