The wedding was nice. I behaved and didn't dance -- but my heel is still a mess and my knee is still swollen. That simply sucks. I'm trying to do the stretches and wear my orthotics but so far no relief. It could be worse, but I'd like to get back to exercising and this makes it more difficult.

I started school last night (I'm the one taking one class at a time as I work to get my high school teaching certification-- I started this journey in 2001 and will likely take 2-3 more years to finish at this rate). After a full day of work I was tired and pretty grumpy about book costs ($165 for 2 books! HELLO!). A little Italian bald man is my professor. How nice that he wore a suit and looked professional! He's a little older cutie of a guy with an accent and good sense of humor. He's known for tough tests though… I am sitting in the front row again. I have determined this habit raises my grades. I went from being grumpy to happy, I will learn a lot from this guy.

I love to learn so I'll only grumble a little when I pay my $800 in tuition. Broke doesn't even describe it right now. Could I just win a small lotto? I just want enough to carry me through one full time year of school. If only I could go straight through vs. one class at a time!!

The kids are adjusting to being back at school. My third grader is ticked off he doesn't have homework yet. My fourth grader needs to collect 20 different 6 legged bugs (insects, that’s right -- we call them insects). The stupid spiders and centipedes we collected in anticipation of this project have cluttered my freezer all summer. We have a mini morgue of bugs we are not even going to be able to use! This project is barbaric. We need more bugs!!! I need to clean the useless corpses out of my freezer too!
