UPDATE: The surgery went well. He took 3 little biopsies (the mole and around it). My face is pretty numb right now :) Too bad nothing stronger for pain, I had to come back to work. I'm relieved to have this part over with. I get the stitches out and find out biopsy results at the end of next week.
Thanks to all who shot up some prayers for me already! Please keep it going for negative (meaning no cancer) results! The doctor isn't sure what we are looking at -- or if we are looking at more than one type of thing. If more surgery is necessary I'll be going to UofM, we shall wait and see. I am a prepare for the worst hope for the best person. If it is melanoma he said we found it early so that is a blessing.
I'm looking a bit like Rocky after Mick had to cut the eye so he could see in the big fight ("cut me Mick, cut me!"). Hubby was a rock, he is very supportive -- just not usually one to be able to hang in a medical environment. He was cute holding my hand the whole way there.
I've got a pretty tough looking scar with stitches now that crosses through the brow. I'm getting a shiner too. My doctor said to pretend I was in a bar fight at The Old Shelaylee downtown. (Great bar, danced and drank there but never had a fight).
We are going to an Irish Pub for dinner with friends tonight. Can't wait!!!
