My Mother Inlaw Is SATAN!

WARNING -- This is a rant. She watched my kids this last week. It started off as a generous offer to save us money since Hubby and her husband have been short of work. A week of babysitting is over $300 so she said she'd take them in order to save us money (lately when hubby is working he can't take a paycheck, hence I'm bleeding money out of my @$$ right now when he works without pay and I must pay a sitter).

Against my better judgment, I allowed this woman to watch my kids. I should have known better. Wonderful Husband explained the rules to her and everything was going to be fine. Hmmph. So Satan (the mother inlaw) watched the kids this week.

She took them to a movie I had said they couldn't see. Does she ever have the "what was wrong with that movie?" conversation? Nope. She then has them watch the DVD of the Narnia movie. She knew that Narnia was my special thing with my kids. She's never even read the darn books! She asked them what book we are on. Doesn't that prove malicious intent? That twit had them watch the movie. My rule is that you can't see the movie until you have read the books. My darned kids watched the darned movie. We are on book 6 of 7.

I feel betrayed. I am so mad. They knew that was the rule and now they tell me that they forgot. We talked about this before bed, and I might believe that Wonder Boy forgot, but Super Girl had an evil glint...

My goal was to finish the book series without the taint of them having seen the Disney film. Nothing against Disney on this, I just believe that hearing or reading a story is different than seeing it. You allow your imagination to soar when you have not seen a visual representation. Satan blew that plan. She and I have talked about this before -- how important I think it is to read a book before you see a movie. It is my preference, and she knew it. She's screwing with me again. She's poking me with a stick, I swear.

To top it all off she whined to me when I picked up the kids. She was sad because she had no money. Whah. She had to pass up a 1/2 day of work at her sister's office in order to watch my kids. She's the one who offered. She's the one who said not to spend money on a sitter these last few weeks -- "I'd love to take the kids, save your money!" And now she's guilting me about the money she didn't earn? And now I'm supposed to pay the GRANDMOTHER Satan for watching her grandkids? Priceless.

ONE MORE WEEK until the kids are in school. I will be so relieved!!!!!!!!!
