The Hoopty has been quiet for the past week, I believe this was to lull me into submission. I recklessly believed that the alarm had just had a bad day. Alas, I was mistaken. I unlocked to go to lunch and the alarm blared and bellowed. Ahhh the joy of driving a hoopty! I don't care what you say -- I am keeping The Hoopty! I think it makes me more interesting :-)
This morning I did my very best impression of a narcoleptic. No joke, I fell asleep at least 8 times during a one hour conference call. How did I wake up? Why, it was the sound of my own snoring that loosed me from the chains of my sleep! There is nothing like wondering if your snore is heard over the conference call.
I don't think anyone noticed. My brothers were both in the office with me and didn't comment so maybe I woke quick enough... maybe! I am tired from the marathon days I've had so far this week, but I think it was the dreaded Benadryl. I didn't want to take it this morning, but the hives pushed me into it.
I have no idea the cause, but I am having these crazy hives pop up. I thought it was multiple spider bites at first (ew!), but the multiplication rate makes this seem unlikely. It all started with 2 hives /bites on my big toe two days ago. Crazy itching, the kind where you don't care if you scratch the flesh away to the bone -- you are compelled to scratch and no amount of pain will stop you. Then 4 more of these hives appeared on my thigh yesterday morning. In the afternoon I got 2 more on my legs and in the evening 2 more. I'm trying not to scratch, but the itching drives me insane. I'll scratch a spot without a hive and one appears! To make matters worse they are a little weepy. Ew.
So this morning I took the dreaded Benadryl. Then I fell into narcolepsy at the office -- thank goodness I'm not traveling or in class today. Basically if I stop moving, I'm asleep. Hopefully I don't snore this afternoon.... No more Benadryl, even if I scratch to the bone... I can't handle being more tired on top of my normal too tired state!
ZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Oh, my. The Benadryl coma. Those cut both ways. Can be great when you have 8 hours to kill, but when you have to actuallyb be alert.... eeeek.
Hope your hives go away. Sounds like no one noticed your snoring. hee hee.

I can't take Benadryl unless I am laying in bed because I know I will be there for a while...and I am an insomniac, but that stuff will does the trick every time!
Oh, yeah, Benadryl knocks me out every time.
