Whispers...

Sometimes signs come in a whisper. I publish the post on my sister and she called. She wants me to meet her at a local shop to help her make a decision on furniture. She is struggling with the decorating in her home (she moved in a year ago) and wants my advice. I told her I would be happy to meet her.

We used to always have Mom check this stuff with us. Is this cute? Do I have good taste or am I crazy? Do you think this will look good? It wasn't like we could not make decisions -- it was just nice to have her opinion. Since Mom passed we have both talked about how strange it is to make these decisions without her input. We make the decisions just fine, but we miss the process. Half the fun of a major purchase was having her look at it with you -- sometimes giving you ideas, sometimes just telling you that you had an awesome find. The process was fun.

So... tonight I see my sister in person. I think it is good. I'm going to take this as a signal that we need to keep working on things. It is a process. We both want to mend things.

Thanks for the well wishes with my sister -- all went well!

angry dad -- THANK YOU on the composition compliment!!! I love photography and have found blogging to be a great outlet for photos that I would not have previously taken. Things catch my eye and it is fun to capture them...
