Today is a special day for me. I remember the wearing o' the green to the earliest time of my childhood. I remember how my Dad brought each of his 4 kids a roll of shamrock stickers to we could go to school and put stickers on the kids who felt left out. I remember how we would wear green plastic bowler hats to school from the earliest age... I remember decorating my Mom's hospital room for St. Patrick's Day 2005. I remember her weak but constant smiles as I did it during the worst of her illness. I put shamrocks everywhere. I replaced the hospital cups with shamrock cups. There was green streamers and homemade cards from my kids. There was a banner on the door. The doctors and nurses loved visiting her after that because she had the most cheerful room in the hospital.
My brother and his wife got engaged the day of the St. Patrick's Day parade so it is a very special day for them as well.
Here we like to add a little magic for the kids. We do a little green decorating and the leprechauns do a little more... If there is a liquid, beware! Starting when the kids were babies the leprechauns put green food coloring in everything they could find. The toilet water is always green when the kids wake on St. Patrick's Day! (it stays green longer when you put the green in the tank, just to let you know).
May your toilet water be green and may you make your children smile... (note -- if you want, there is still time for the leprechauns to visit -- nap time was a great time for extra toilet greening!).
Have a green beer for me -- it isn't on my diet this year ;-(
May the leprechauns make happy mischief for you today.
Be safe and please enjoy a HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!

What a fun day of celebration for you!! Green toilet water, huh? lol
I love that idea! I am going to do it next year. I also love St. Patrick's Day. Even with vertigo....I could not miss the annual parade. Of course, there was less misbehaving and more sitting this year....but I still got to GO!
Congrats on the loss, by the way.......YOU ARE AWESOME!
I'm so glad you visited my blog so I could follow you home. You have a lot going on, and I already admire your fighting spirit so much.
I have never encountered green toilet water before. I feel so deprived. (So I'm thinking... if yellow and blue make green, what happens when you pee in water that is already green? I need to get a life, obviously.)
You have not lived until you have awoken to green toilet water! My kids still love it!
does green with envy count? ha ha ha ha.
actually I've never seen green toilet water... but that sounds like fun. I'll remember that for next year!
