I'm proud of my pathetic passive self. I have secured my vacation time! Both brothers have been told that my vacation will not be one long one but will be sprinkled over weeks. This is AWESOME!

It is so hard taking vacation time from a family business! I put my dates on the calendar this past week and today the opportune time came up to state the change -- and there were no initial objections! I even told the boss how the visit days were intentionally scheduled lighter because of my pain level! He cringed and sighed, but said "okay, okay" so he can't say he doesn't know and I didn't tell him!

How LIBERATING!!!! I get one long weekend in June and there is just ONE WEEK in July that I work a full work week. YIPPEE!!

I know readers may think I'm an idiot, but this is a big deal and I'm really excited. I have not had vacation time since LAST JULY. The only days off have been kid illness, me illness, and my Mom's illness / funeral. I need a break!!!! I know they do too, hope they take some time too.

I know men are different than women, but you really see it when you work with family. They just do not need time like I need time! I got way too spoiled with my previous job and have 3 weeks plus personal and sick days off.

Oh well, I'm just happy I'll be on vacation for a long weekend in just 4 weeks!!
