Where is my kitchen?

I have been working all morning to excavate my home while Millie the pug napped happily in the sun. You see, we have been buried in clutter. Yesterday I napped, today I cleaned. This semester I threw out the few cleaning routines I had. I have always tended to clean in spurts vs. having routines. Now I'm paying the piper. I am now very close to reclaiming the kitchen counters. I did find and secure the kitchen table (we all kept our homework there and at at the stools at the kitchen counter. We have noticed it is easier to clear when you are so close to the sink. So, to be honest, we have been living like savages. Savages I tell you!! I swear, my kitchen has been buried in clutter. I am pretty close to having recaptured it. Hurrah!

I was relieved when my Dad offered up his home for the gathering on Thanksgiving this year. The thought of preparing my house for company was enough to put me in an asylum. So, we did it at Dad's with me taking responsibility for all but the turkey (he brined it -- I must say, that was the best turkey I have ever had!). I am thankful for Dad getting it that the stress of having everyone at my house would have been too much.

Today I must motivate to work on my class projects. These professors this semester like big projects so I'm pretty buried at the present. I am lacking motivation, hopefully once I get going I'll be fine. I've already had several cups of coffee and there is more in the pot. Hopefully caffeine will provide the motivation I lack! I slept all day yesterday after the chiropractor -- he told me to take a nap, I over achieved! I can't think of a better way to spend Black Friday. I'm thankful for much needed rest! Now... about that homework....
