I'm down 7 pounds as of this morning! YIPPEE!!! I am very grateful I started my diet 2 weeks ago despite the holiday temptations. Heck, if I could live through that, I can make it through anything! I am also taking other steps toward my healthy 2007 goals yesterday.
I called the sleep clinic and asked them to move me up if they had cancelations (my follow up appointment was for 2/2). They called back within 10 minutes and now I'm going in on 1/12. I dread the sleep study, but do want to get to the bottom of it. I just hope this more in depth sleep study produces more results than last time. I'm so tired of being tired!
I mad another appointment and I'll see the pain doctor on Monday. I've been avoiding him because my weight was up and I'm not exercising. Oh well. Time to face the music, maybe he can help me get back on track.
I also am going to the gynecologist for my yearly torture. I have no right to be overdue for my yearly since my Mom was killed by uterine cancer. I know you don't usually diagnose uterine cancer on a regular yearly exam, but I'm am idiot not to stay on top of the maintenance of the female parts.
I also scheduled an appointment to have this stupid bump on my eyelid taken care of (frozen off? cut off? ew.) A year ago the dermatologist said he'd take care of it if it bugged me. It's been a year, and it is bugging me. It is just a white bump -- nothing too exciting or huge, but it needs to go.
When we were at the jeweler Tuesday getting ring sizes I had my rings checked. I have small round diamonds in my wedding band -- 3 out of 5 were loose! I thought something felt wrong, then they showed me. Close call! Then my Claddagh's stone felt loose as one of the prongs was bent -- they are fixing that too! It isn't a valuable ring -- it just means a lot to me as my parents gave it to me for Christmas when I was 16. I'm so glad I had them all checked. I put it off a little too long....
So, get your health checked and get your jewelry checked -- that is my advice for the day. Happy New Year! I'm off to the high school this AM. They ended their break early if you ask me. Maybe someday I'll be a morning person... as you can see, my dog isn't!!

Hi GRG, Happy New Year. Excellent news on the weight loss. Not many people can say that this time of year. And good catch on the ring.
I look forward to reading about your adventures in the coming year.
Fingers crossed on sleep study.
Lisa
good advice
too bad it wasn't so easy for the "day at the races' (which was kind of my national velvet term for getting my feet stuck in those styrups)
as it is to have the jewelry checked
That's good advice on both subjects - checkups and jewelry. I wear my grandmother's engagement ring and I examine it regularly.
Congratulations on the weight loss. I'm faithfully working out on my new elliptical to try to tone up some very saggy middle-aged bulges.
Maybe I should get my prostate checked.
That would be some sweet action!
Congrats on the weight loss!! You are obviously much more disciplined than I am!!
Congratulations on the pounds lost! Great advice too!!
