I love teaching!

I love my students. My worst day teaching is so much better than my good days in the corporate world! It is so awesome being there for my students and getting to know them. I love watching them grow! WOW have they evolved since last September! Thankfully, so has their writing!

I'm busier than ever but quite happy! I look forward to next year -- I've learned so much that will hopefully make next year easier for me. I have to admit -- teachers work really hard (especially ENGLISH teachers!).

The hard part is striking a balance between work and home life.... such is the gripe of every working mom :-)

Not quite endometrial specific, but darn close! Endometrial cancer is the version that took my mom. My view is that curing ANY cancer brings us closer to curing ALL cancer. My OBGYN informed me that even with my family history I have a better chance of getting breast cancer than uterine cancer (which is what took my mother). Do you check yourself monthly? Please do! I'm a two for one deal -- Dad has joined the cancer club too. He picked a more treatable one thankfully! His treatment went well thus far -- may all men remember to get their PSA tests. Early detection = early cure! I'm adding the breast cancer version because I had an abnormal mammogram. Girls, please get your girls checked! I get to wait 6 months for another mammo to check my calcification situation.... Worst case scenario I will be a poster child for early detection. Be sure to go to the best possible facility for your mammogram. My 2nd opinion films showed me the difference... it is worth the drive to go to a higher quality center!
