Student Teaching

Things I will miss about student teaching:

- Connecting with kids who I didn’t realize I could reach!

- Days that fly by!

- Watching a student burst into the room with a story to tell.

- Seeing students grow and improve their skills!

- Laughing all day long.

- Telling students how great they are.

- Working with an awesome staff who truly love kids.

- Having my worst day be a GREAT day!

- Learning every hour of every day.

- Making a difference!

- Learning their names – I feared I couldn’t learn 165+ student names names but I did!

- Telling parents how great their kids are!

- Listening to kids and learning what they think about a piece of literature.

- School spirit – fun to see it!

- Hope for the future – how can you not have hope when you are with the future leaders today?

- Growing with my students

- Learning how to facilitate discussion – helping kids make connections but letting THEM make the connections.

- Learning more about my subject in order to teach it properly.

- Enjoying being with kids every day.

My students gave me so much joy and energy each day. I miss them already. I can’t wait to finish my last few classes so that I can get a job teaching!!!

This is where I am meant to be... I can't wait!

I am always so impressed by teachers... seriously, while I love the learning, i don't think I could handle (at least not successfully) a class of kids, day after day... I take my hat off to all of you who do it with excitement and enthusiasm and joy.

Thank you so much for making such an awesomely passionate list.

As an ex-teacher, I wholeheartedly agree with you 100%. Congratulations!
