My friend's mass was removed and it is benign!! I am so excited for her that she does not have cancer! Her very first mammogram showed abnormality. The very best cancer institute around said they thought it was cancer so they would forgo the biopsy (to avoid spilling cells). She had the surgery last week and YIPPEE! The mass was not cancer. She is young for whatever kind of tumor it was... so was a grateful for answered prayers!!
My cousin is recovering well from her mastectomy. She is in year 5 of her breast cancer battle and is taking Christmas off from chemo. Her doctor wants her to heal from surgery more (the skin may be dying over the surgical site). She is relieved to have the holiday off.
It puts it all in perspective doesn't it????
